Meet the Execs

Amelia Lee-Mongrain

Co-President

Hi! I’m Amelia, and I am the co-president and co-founder of Scalpel Society. As a second-year honours health science student, I have a deep and abiding passion for medicine, and I love expressing this passion through reading and writing. My ultimate goal is to become a renowned surgeon in whatever field I choose to specialize in. I am still exploring alongside my club members, but I am incredibly excited to be a part of this dynamic student life. I am eager to share my knowledge and skills with others to inspire them to pursue their own dreams of becoming surgeons.

Jessica Comeau

Co-President

Hi! I’m Jess. I’m a second-year honours health science student at Marianopolis, and I founded Scalpel Society alongside Amelia. My passion for medicine sparked mostly around 9th grade when I got to do a research project on the brain, but I’ve been interested in looking at numerous medicine books that belonged to my mom since my childhood. My ultimate aspiration is to become a neurosurgeon. I love makeup and all things fashion, stem-related topics, and, of course, my cat, Ozzy! I’m very excited to be a part of the Marianopolis student life, and I’m looking forward to sharing knowledge about surgery as well as inspiring students to pursue surgery (:

Diana-Maria Popescu

Medicine has always fascinated me for its ability to change lives and push the boundaries of human knowledge. Beyond my passion for this incredible domain, I love exploring new destinations, discovering fresh music, spending time with my adorable pets, and enjoying movie nights with friends. Joining Scalpel Society excites me as it offers the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share my enthusiasm for health sciences, surgery, and making a meaningful difference in our community. I can’t wait to embark on this inspiring journey with all of you!

Looking forward to an inspiring journey with Scalpel Society!
